Fees, referrals and rebates

Psychological therapy

Rebates are available with a referral under a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, or a referral from your psychiatrist. For children, a GP or paediatrician can refer.

Psychological and psychometric assessment

Fees for assessments vary depending on the duration and complexity of the referral, and are discussed with you before you begin. All assessments include a feedback session.

Medicare generally does not provide rebates for assessments. Please check with your private health fund whether a rebate is available.

Medicare

Rebates are processed automatically once your session is invoiced and paid, so you do not need to claim them yourself.

Private health

Most funds offer rebates for psychology. Check your level of cover, waiting periods and any limits with your fund. There is no HICAPS, so you claim directly with your fund.

NDIS

If you are plan-managed or self-managed, the standard fee is charged and you receive a receipt to claim back from the NDIS.

Other services

Fees for report writing, attending school or other agency meetings, and consultations with external parties are available on request.

Cancellation policy

If you need to change your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible. Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment incur a fee equal to the full session fee, in line with APS guidelines. Cancellation fees cannot be claimed through Medicare.
